Hello!
Welcome to iheartmatcha! My name is Arin and I am a fourth year communication student at Simon Fraser University. This blog was born out of my PUB 101 course and was created to share and express myself in a different way. iheartmatcha is essentially an extension of a channel I have on an app called River that is much more detailed. When i post on River, I upload a photo, sometimes with a caption, and that’s typically the end of it. This blog give me more creative freedom to design and format my posts in a certain way that is expressive of my personality. Further, with recent discussions surrounding the ethics of consuming matcha and it’s production, I wanted to do more research on the history of matcha and how it’s made to be more conscientious of my consumption habits. I am hoping to reach a more local audience that is made up of matcha enthusiasts to hear differing or similar opinions and recommendations.
